Adviza helps young mums plan for their future
15th Jan 2016
Adviza is running a course for young mums looking to return to work. Called ‘Future Steps’, this free course will run for nine weeks in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, from Monday 25th January.
It is a gentle introduction to returning to the workplace, with a small group of no more than 12 mums. There is a crèche on site and transport to the venue can be provided.
The aim of the course is to give mums under the age of 25 the confidence and skills to get back into work or training. During the course they will have the opportunity to do a first aid qualification and get a level 2 food hygiene qualification. They will also take a psychometric assessment to reveal their abilities and aptitudes, be helped to write a winning CV and get interview practice. There will also be visits from the job centre and adult learning to update the mums on benefits, job searching and further training.
The course is open to mums under 25, who are on income support, live in the Wycombe area and have a youngest child of approximately 18 months plus.
