Adviza is delighted to announce a partnership with the University of Warwick to sponsor a PhD Studentship funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

The subject of the research is the use of information communications technology (ICT) and labour market intelligence (LMI) in careers education and guidance.  It will explore the use of ICT and LMI in supporting school-to-work transitions.

The University of Warwick is internationally renowned for its research excellence.  The ESRC Doctoral Training Centre at the university, one of 21 such centres in the UK, embodies the university’s commitment to producing the next generation of leaders in social science research.

The host department for the PhD at the University of Warwick is the Institute for Employment Research (IER). The PhD student will be registered in the IER and will work collaboratively with Adviza throughout the duration of the award.

The project will be jointly supervised by Dr Deirdre Hughes OBE and Professor Chris Warhurst from the IER. Part of the PhD will also be co-supervised by Sue Gale, Delivery Director at Adviza.

Applications are now invited for the Studentship, which commences in October 2016. Application deadline: Friday 22 April 2016, 12 noon. Interviews: Thursday 26 May 2016.
