Adviza starts National Careers Service delivery
30th Sep 2014
On 1st October Adviza takes over as the prime contractor for the National Careers Service (NCS) in the Thames Valley region covering Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. We were awarded the contract by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) in March and have been busy setting up the service which will see 50 staff in venues from High Wycombe to Gloucester.
The NCS is available free to everyone aged 19 and over throughout England. It provides information, careers and skills advice that’s specifically tailored to individuals. The service provides help through online webchats or with an NCS careers adviser over the phone and face to face careers advice for adults.
Adviza will deliver the NCS service to adults living or working in the Thames Valley by telephone or face-to-face depending on customer need. Meetings will take place either in our own centres or in our partner’s premises across the region such as libraries, jobcentres and colleges. Customers can also view information on the NCS website www.nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk.
