We are delighted to announce that Adviza has won three 2013 CDI Awards for our work with young people and adults.  Adviza was announced as winners of three of the six awards presented at last night’s UK Career Development Awards Dinner, a formal/black tie event, at the Holiday Inn, Stratford-upon-Avon.

The winning categories were:

  • Careers Educator of the Year - won by Adviza’s Ros Carr for her exemplary work as careers adviser and coordinator at Burnham Grammar School.
  • Best practice in delivering career development services for adults – awarded for the Work Fit project which we are delivering via contract to Jobcentre Plus in Reading to single parents who have been out of work for a significant time.
  • Innovative use of technology in career development – won for the development of @adviza, remote guidance sessions using two web-based technologies: WebEx (a video conferencing product through which young people can receive face-to-face guidance from an adviser wherever they are) and Webchat through which 'virtual advisers' offer online Q&A sessions.

Chief Executive Katharine Horler said: ‘This is a tremendous achievement and testimony to the hard work, innovation and commitment from Adviza’s staff over the past year’.
