Adviza’s Young Parents’ Programme shortlisted for Award
13th Sep 2013
Adviza has been shortlisted for the third consecutive year for the Children and Young People Now Awards, the gold standard for organisations working with children, young people and families. Our Young Parents’ Learning Programme has been voted as a finalist in the Family Support Award category in this year’s awards.
The Family Support category is for the initiative or service that has done the most to support families to help their children lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives safe from harm. The judges are looking in particular for work that has helped challenging or disadvantaged families.
The Young Parents’ Learning Programme is an innovative project for unemployed parents and parents-to-be aged 16 to 24 in Oxfordshire. Young parents complete a course to help them develop a healthy and fulfilling relationship with their child, which leads to an accredited qualification in parenting skills. This practical course is complemented by a life coach who provides extra support to ensure learners get the most out of the programme.
The category winners will be unveiled at the award ceremony on Wednesday 27 November 2013 at The Hurlingham Club in Fulham, London.
