New Service for Parents and Carers of Young People with Special Needs

A new support service will be operating from 16th September 2013. The Empowering Families project targets parents and carers of young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) who have a realistic chance of making the transition from full-time learning to employment and/or training. The aim is to help parents and carers to improve their knowledge and take part in the assessment, planning and provision of support under the Government’s new arrangements.
