4th Oct 2017

Adviza's WOOP team is running a free STEM Careers Evening on Thursday 9th November 2017 at BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) in Maidenhead.

The event is open to all local young people and their parents and is a great opportunity to explore careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), particularly for those studying or looking to study a Level 3 qualification (A level or equivalent) within a STEM subject.

With a team of industry experts, guest speakers and interactive workshops on hand, the event will give attendees a real insight into potential career paths and courses in the STEM sector to get you where you want to go.

Running from 5.45pm – 7.45pm, the event will include STEM employer stands, a workshop on higher apprenticeships, employability and careers advice, and a hands-on laboratory workshop.

This event is a combined venture with the Berkshire College of Agriculture and the Worlds of Opportunity (WOOP) project, which is looking to close the Berkshire STEM skills gap to support the local business talent pipeline.

Go to the WOOP website for futher details.

WOOP is funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency and European Social Fund and run by Adviza in partnership with Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
