The Inspiration Agenda: bringing schools and employers together
19th Dec 2014
Since 1st October our National Careers Service Partnership Managers have been meeting schools, colleges, employers and stakeholders across the Thames Valley. Their purpose is to identify partnership opportunities and from this to increase the level of employer engagement with schools/colleges. This employer engagement helps schools to meet the requirements of the Statutory Duty issued by the government, and adds to the activities and Information, Advice and Guidance services provided by Adviza.
This is a free service available to all schools/colleges across the Thames Valley. It is part of the goverment's Inspiration Agenda which calls for employers, schools and colleges to work together to inspire young people and raise their learning and career aspirations.
Our Partnership Managers help bring schools and employers together to provide pupils with real-life contact with the world of work. They are keen to hear from:
- schools/colleges who want to engage more actively with employers
- schools/colleges who simply want to know more about what we can offer
- employers who want to do more work with schools
