The conference will take place from 9:30 – 14:00 on Tuesday 14th July 2015 at Reading University.  It will feature presentations and workshops from Adviza and the Reading and Wokingham SEND Information Advice and Support Services on how the changes will affect parent carers and their families, including:

  • Statements transferring to Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs)
  • New requests for EHCPs
  • My child hasn’t got a Statement/EHCP. What help can we get?
  • How to participate in your child’s support, including EHC assessments and plans
  • How to get support

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  The event will also feature information stalls from local charities and providers.

Parent carers wishing to attend should contact the helpline on freephone 0800 988 5462 or email helpline@berkshirecarers.org by Wednesday 8th July 2015 to book a place on this event.

Please note this event is for unpaid parent carers only from the Reading, Wokingham and West Berks areas.  This is not an event for professionals or paid care workers.
