Adviza delivers The Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for Schools and Colleges programme (ASK) in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

What it is

ASK is a three-year programme designed to give schools, colleges and other educational establishments free support to transform how their students think about apprenticeships. It is managed by CXK in the South Region and funded by the National Apprenticeship Service.

A variety of fantastic organisations and bodies work together to help promote apprenticeships, which are vital to UK employers and the country’s productivity and skills. The National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) supports the Department for Education (DfE) to achieve its apprenticeship priorities. Amazing Apprenticeships helps to coordinate and facilitate that support - last year the programme engaged with 315,047 students, 30,321 parents and 2,069 establishments.

What it includes

In delivering ASK, we assist schools with their statutory duty to provide impartial careers advice and guidance to young people by providing them with a bespoke package of comprehensive information about apprenticeships.

Schools can access a variety of support including:

  • Student awareness sessions
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for teachers
  • Parents events (face to face and virtual)
  • NEET prevention work (Not in Education, Employment or Training).

In the light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the ASK offering is flexible, so that face to face sessions can also be delivered virtually.
