Adviza is a registered charity that inspires and supports young people and adults to progress in learning and work. Here in the not-for-profit sector we are all about the client – and the successful delivery of our services to customers on behalf of the National Careers Service.

If you join us you will empower customers, enabling them to overcome barriers to progression. You’ll provide information, advice and guidance to adults on a range of opportunities, including learning and career paths and employment.

What do we need from you?

The ideal candidate for our careers adviser vacancy will have experience delivering a customer-focused service, through one to one or group sessions, with the enthusiasm to meet or exceed targets in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.

We are looking for good organisational and IT skills with the ability to work flexibly across a large geographical area (West of England) out of a variety of locations.

This is a demanding but rewarding role, where you will make a difference to people’s lives.

What’s in it for you?

Salary and pay progression: our salaries are competitive within our sector, and we have a pay progression scheme in development which puts your future pay increases in your hands.

Your personal development: from fully funded qualifications through to allocated work time for personal development for every employee – we have your development covered.

Pensions: we go above and beyond to help you prepare for the future by matching your pension contribution up to 10% of your salary.

Holidays and work life balance: starting at 25 days holiday (in addition to your bank holidays) you will move to 30 days after being part of our team for 5 years. But more than that – we offer a genuine commitment to working with you on a working pattern and model that suits you and the business best. Currently 51% of our employees work part time or term time, and many others have individual working arrangements that, most importantly, still get the job done.

Perks!: all of our employees have a fully funded subscription to Perkbox Sapphire (their top package) +Medical. This little gem (get it?) is taxable benefit but we cover that part of it for you. Through Perkbox we offer - among many other benefits - free access to:

  • Aura, the mindfulness app
  • magpie for personalised professional development
  • Boxx for online workout and wellness classes.

We also offer access to confidential counselling support and, through the Medical package, online access to a GP 24/7.

You also get a free “birthday box” (on your birthday naturally!) and other weekly treats – who isn’t up for a free Greggs sausage roll or drink from Café Nero?

There are also a whole host of discounts on shopping and other purchases to stretch your salary that little bit further.

How to apply?

If you are interested in applying then please send us your CV with a covering statement telling us why you believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in our role, to: [email protected] quoting reference Exeter.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact: Matthew Markham on 07909 876429

Closing date: Friday 3rd December 2021
Interview dates: week commencing Monday 6th December 2021
