We are delighted to announce Adviza has once again been shortlisted for a UK Career Development Award by the Career Development Institute (CDI). Our colleague Allan Potter is in the running for Career Services Manager of the Year.

Allan is the Project Manager of our Building Futures Project which focuses on changing the lives of young people and adults across Buckinghamshire. It is part of the Building Better Opportunities programme funded through the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund. The contract was awarded to Adviza in April 2017 and provides impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG) to enable participants to choose the right path into training, work experience or employment.

Allan has driven the project forward with excellent results: due to his effective management skills the project exceeded its targets by placing more people into learning and/or work and had its funding extended until 2021.  Through effective partnership working, innovative ideas, high quality IAG and a determination to make a difference Allan has changed and will continue to change the lives of many people across Buckinghamshire.

Adviza's Head of Projects, Sue Cross, said: "I am thrilled that Allan is getting the recognition from the industry that he deserves. He is a super manager and his motivation and commitment are second to none. Through his outstanding management of the Building Futures programme he has facilitated close to 600 young people and adults in Buckinghamshire to transform their lives."

The winners will be announced at the UK Career Development Awards ceremony on Wednesday 11 March at The Hilton Hotel, Leeds.
