Great ways to use your Adviza days

Here are some of the services you can choose to fill your guidance days. We will work with you to build a careers programme to suit your students and budget.

Careers guidance interviews

  • One-to-one interviews with a full or generic action plan, which can be shared with the school
  • Small group guidance interviews (up to 4 students)

Group activities

  • Groupworks on a range of topics
  • Presentations or assemblies to pupils or parents
  • Workshops on employability skills such as CV writing and mock interviews

Drop ins

  • Sessions with an adviser, typically over a lunch time, for quick, individual enquiries

Additional needs

  • One-to-one guidance interviews with action plans to support EHCP for students with SEND (if not funded via local authority)
  • Attendance at transition or annual reviews to support parents and students (if not funded via local authority)
  • Intensive, ongoing support for students with complex needs or at risk of becoming NEET

Careers education

  • Support for schools with their careers education programme, websites and newsletters
  • Career lesson plans and workshops to support careers education programmes


  • Support for students on results days
  • Attendance at options and parents’ evenings
  • Organisation of careers fairs and other events
  • Support for students at college enrolment days and offsite careers events

School or college support

  • Careers Co-ordinator/Lead activities, to supplement staff
  • Training for staff on careers across the curriculum
  • Support to achieve a quality award and to meet Gatsby benchmarks
  • Help to prepare for Ofsted by reviewing careers education programmes
  • Sourcing careers materials for PSHE programmes

Other services

  • Psychometric assessments followed by feedback and guidance
  • Support for work experience
  • Destination measures and annual activity tracking
  • Specialist support for 6th formers, including UCAS and degree apprenticeships
