Matthew Arnold School, Oxford, OxfordshireCo-educational comprehensive with 1250 students Level 6 qualified careers adviser Barbara is in school two days a week providing personal guidance interviews for students in Years 11 to 13 and smaller targeted group work with other years. Barbara attends parents' evenings from Year 9, GCSE and A Level options evenings and also results days. In addition, she supports college applications and college visits and accompanies students to the city's CareersFest. Barbara has a particular focus on vulnerable and pupil premium students. |
Maiden Erlegh Trust, Reading, BerkshireCo-educational comprehensive on three sites with over 2875 students Our Level 6 qualified careers advisers attend all three sites providing one-to-one guidance predominately with Year 11 including an action plan which, with the student’s agreement, is shared with the school. They also hold a number of workshops for Years 12 and 13 with a focus of HE and alternative routes into work such as apprenticeships. |
