Adviza is delighted to be partnering with the Oxfordshire Careers Hub, funded by the Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) and OxLEP. Careers Hubs bring together schools, colleges, employers and apprenticeship providers in local areas across England. The goal is to make it easier for schools and colleges to improve how they prepare young people for their next steps.

At Meadowbrook College we will be giving the young people in year 11 a better understanding of the different options for them after year 11. We will do this by arranging visits with colleges, training providers, apprenticeship providers and employers. Our Careers Advisers will be meeting all the students across the 3 sites to listen to what their plans are and help them to realise their goals. We will be using an assessment tool called the FIS – which will measure the impact of the project and whether it has made a difference to the young people. The aim of the project is to ensure all students move into and sustain a positive destination after year 11.

Employers - we need you!

At the heart of the project are taster days and a ‘Talent Workshop’ on the 5th March 2024 . The Talent workshop is employer-led and will focus on the soft skills that employers look for, such as being punctual, enthusiastic and willing to learn.  If you can help by having a small group of students attend your workplace or you can support the Talent Workshop, please get in touch with Sandra Reynolds, Head of Delivery, at [email protected].
