Adviza has launched a Talent Retention service for businesses in the West of England as part of a programme to help kick-start regional recovery following the coronavirus outbreak.

This service is delivered as part of the West of England Combined Authority’s (WECA) “Workforce for the Future” skills programme—co-funded by the European Social Fund—to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) retain, redeploy and develop their workforce, and plan for the future.

Adviza’s expert Talent Retention team will help SMEs assess cost-saving and talent retention options to keep valuable knowledge and skills within the business.

Retaining talent and safeguarding jobs

The team will provide support to business owners and managers faced with difficult decisions, working with them to help safeguard jobs, maintain stability and engage their workforce so they are business-ready for the future. It will also signpost partner services that offer support both to businesses and employees in these challenging times.

Project Coordinator Julia Rees-Galey said:

With the further extension to the furlough scheme, businesses have been given a bit more breathing space, but after a tough twelve months many will still be facing ongoing challenges and decisions. We’re here to provide a sounding board, to explore and discuss options, and help you access the information and support you need on the path through survival, recovery and growth.

The service is available to SMEs with less than 250 employees based in the West of England (Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire).

The wider package of support available through WECA, including Future Bright training and the government’s Kickstart programme, can be accessed through the regional Growth Hub which has been expanded to help businesses through Covid-19.
