We are looking for volunteers to support young people on The Prince’s Trust Team programme which we deliver in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, and Bracknell and Reading in Berkshire.

What it is

Team is a personal development programme for people aged 16 – 25 who are not in education, employment or training. During a 12-week programme the young people will work on a local community project, participate in two weeks of work experience and a residential experience and end with a presentation. Through these activities young people will develop team work and communication skills, build confidence and achieve a qualification.

We are looking for volunteers to support, engage and help our young people to complete the programme, in one-to-one and group settings, acting as a role model by sharing your knowledge and experience of life and work to help them overcome the challenges they will face on the programme.

Why volunteer

The benefits of volunteering on Team include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with young people
  • Facilitating group workshops
  • Understanding local services available to young people
  • Developing team work
  • Supporting a residential experience
  • Supporting young people through a Level 1 qualification

Your commitment

We ask that volunteers for Team are able to commit to a minimum of 15 days across the 12-week programme in order to build relationships with the young people and see the development of participants from start to finish.

As part of this volunteering opportunity you will have an enhanced DBS completed by Adviza.
