    There are many jobs available that relate to law and politics. All are concerned with running the legal and political systems of our country. Some of the jobs involve working for government; others are in private firms. Not all legal jobs are to do with crime; there's a lot of work involved in house buying, wills and divorce, for example, and in business and industry dealing with contracts, patents and trade marks.

    Some of the jobs are for graduates who have undertaken further training and qualifications; others are open to applicants with lower-level qualifications.

    Virtual work experience opportunities:

    White & Case

    This virtual programme allows students to gain first-hand insight into life as a White & Case lawyer and experience the realities of cross-border law.

    This programme is free for school students, undergraduates/graduates from any degree discipline.
    No application required and can be accessed online from anywhere in the world
    Self-paced with no deadlines - takes 5 to 6 hours to complete

    No prior legal knowledge or work experience is required to participate in this course, and your work will not be used for assessment purposes.

    Law isn't quite as glamorous as a lot of the TV shows make out, but it's definitely more interesting! During this free two week virtual work experience programme you will meet a range of industry professionals from various legal areas of law who will give you an overview of their experiences and you'll get the opportunity to ask a whole load of questions.

    Many young people have been inspired by TV shows, movies etc. to follow a particular career. We have collated some resources here for you to discover. We have included podcasts because they are the best way to get real insight into the industry’s current dynamics and are a great way to demonstrate knowledge and passion in personal statements and interviews.

    Please note, we have not specified the platforms for these resources as they can change over time. We suggest you do a web search for the title – you will often find them on YouTube in their entirety. Some titles will only be available for a fee or subscription.
